Brenau Art & Design exhibition in Atlanta; Commerce city manager resigning; Buford man convicted of double murder

*Brenau University students will showcase their artwork during a special exhibition at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta next month. The artwork will be on display through Jan. 29. A partnership between the museum and Brenau began nearly a dozen years ago, and Brenau is the only college or university with an academic affiliation with the museum.

*Commerce City Manager James Washcher is resigning effective the end of the year. Washcher will be taking a job with the city of Dalton.

*A Buford man, Brandon Williams, has been given a life sentence for the strangulation deaths of his wife and toddler son six years ago.
