Supreme Court says Trump can’t be kept off ballots; Clyde’s reaction

A unanimous U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that Donald Trump can’t be kept off presidential ballots this year. Details here: Trump wins Colorado ballot disqualification case at US Supreme Court – SRN News

9th Dist. Congressman Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County) and a fervent supporter of the former President calls the ruling a “major win for the American people.”

The Hall County Republican Party in a brief post on it’s Facebook page declared: “IN A 9-0 DECISION THE SUPREME COURT KEEPS TRUMP ON THE BALLOT BECAUSE (of) DEMOCRACY.”

The opinion reverses a Colorado Supreme Court decision and Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold expressed disappointment at the high court’s finding “stripping states of the authority” to enforce the disqualification clause which was the basis of Colorado’s suit.

“Colorado should be able to bar oath-breaking insurrections from our ballot,” Griswold wrote in a social media post.
