The Oakwood woman reported missing Tuesday afternoon was found dead this morning.
“Betty Marie Ramey has been located,” Oakwood Police spokesman Stewart Webb said this morning. “She was found deceased at the incident location by a family member this morning. The incident is still under investigation with the cooperation of the GBI and the Hall County Coroner’s Office.”
No other information was immediately available.

Oakwood Police have issued an urgent lookout for a 71-year-old woman who was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.
OAKWOOD POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“…at approximately 1400 hours, Officers responded to the Oakwood Village subdivision in reference to a missing elderly female with a history of dementia and other health issues.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim’s sister. She told officers that the victim had stopped taking her medication and may have wondered off.
Oakwood PD, Flowery Branch PD, Hall County S/O, Gainesville PD, and the GSP Air Unit assisted during the initial canvass for the victim.
The Oakwood Police Department deployed the drone and was unable to locate the victim anywhere in the area.

71 years old
W/F 4ft 10in approximately 80lbs
Green Eyes, Light Blonde/Brownish hair usually always in ponytail mid back length, distinct hump in back
Last seen wearing mini dress mid-thigh length unknown color, black pants
She has a portable oxygen tank that she carries like a bookbag.
