Plans for a boat storage facility with room for 233 vessels and a 358-unit retirement community are planned in South Hall and final action on each is just a few days away.
The Buford City Commission will consider annexation and rezoning requests for each project Dec. 4. The city’s planning commission, earlier this month, unanimously recommended approval of both applications.
The storage facility would be located at 5741 Holiday Road.
The retirement community is planned for a 21-acre tract on Ridge Road. There would be 155 “active adult” independent living units for 55 years and older included along with 192 assisted living with memory care units. A two-story medical office building is also planned.
