Barrow Co. fugitive arrested by FBPD

A 42-year-old Auburn man wanted by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office remained in the Hall County Jail early Wednesday following his weekend arrest by Flowery Branch Police, who released information on the arrest Wednesday morning.

FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NEWS RELEASE:

On (Saturday) Officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department
conducted a traffic stop in the area of Radford Rd and Atlanta Hwy based on
an observed equipment violation.

During the traffic stop it was discovered
that the driver, Travis Roy Spencer, 42, of Auburn, had active warrants for
his arrest (out of Barrow County, according to Hall County Jail records).

While conducting the stop, a K-9 officer positively alerted on the
vehicle. The K-9 alert led to a probable cause search of the vehicle. During
the course of the search officers discovered marijuana and psilocybin
(mushrooms). The driver was arrested both for the active warrants and new
charges resulting from this incident.

Mr. Spencer was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
 Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (x2)
 Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects
 Affixing Materials that Obstruct View
 Tire Requirements Violation
