Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded Tuesday to a residential fire in the 8200 block of Mountain Glen Drive in Clermont.
Crews arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the attic of the home. Firefighters initiated an interior attack and conducted a primary search, confirming no one was inside. The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished.
Three dogs housed in crates in the garage were released safely by a neighbor before firefighters arrived, officials said.
The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
The fire prompted fire officials to remind residents to install and maintain working smoke alarms on every level of their homes, test alarms monthly and practice escape plans with household members.
