Hall County sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating the man accused of the murder that occurred Thursday night at a convenience store on Mountain View Road.
Antwane Sintell Thurmond, 45, of Oakwood, is wanted on charges of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act in the shooting death of 44‑year‑old Tia Vidon Keith at the Subhanallah Food Mart. Thurmond is the victim’s former live‑in boyfriend.
“Investigators, patrol deputies and the Warrant Service Unit, along with several assisting agencies, have been tracking Thurmond’s movements since the shooting,” sheriff’s office spokesman Derreck Booth said Sunday afternoon.
Authorities recovered the vehicle he was initially driving and executed a search warrant at a home in metro Atlanta, where evidence was found. “Thurmond remains at large, and investigators believe he is moving frequently to avoid arrest,” Booth said. “They do not know what vehicle he may currently be using.”
Thurmond is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 212 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. “He has multiple tattoos, including a neck tattoo reading “ROMANS 12:19,” he added. “He also has a prosthetic lower left leg and walks with a slight limp. He should be considered armed and dangerous.”
