Apalachee High School will have a “gradual” reopening the week of September 23. That will be almost three weeks after the shooting that left four people dead and nine wounded.
“We are working with our community, teachers, parents, and experts to ensure we have the right systems and resources in place,” Barrow County Schools Supt. Dallas LeDuff said in a message to the community.
Included are:
- On-campus mental health support
- Spaces for relocated classes
- Scheduling, transportation, curriculum, and classroom materials\
“As a reminder, any final plans for reopening will come directly from the Barrow County School System,” Dr. Duff added. “Thank you for your trust, flexibility, support, and commitment.”
