Animal cruelty; Self-driving vehicles; Racist texts

*The reward in a DeKalb County animal cruelty case is even higher now. Investigators say they believe two dogs were dragged behind a car into the Redan Recreation Center parking lot in mid-September. One of the dogs died, while another is recovering. PETA helped increase the reward for information Thursday to $10,000.  

*A rideshare company is looking at unveiling self-driving in Atlanta next year. Lyft announced this week that it wants to use the metro Atlanta market as a place to launch its self-driving technology. The vehicles used in Atlanta are expected to be Toyota Sienna minivans.  

*Within 24 hours of the presidential election, Black Americans in dozens of states, including Georgia, have reported getting racist text messages. Savannah area resident Corryn Freeman tells WSAV she received a text message telling her to report for slave duty. The messages are coming from an unknown number. Georgia’s Attorney General’s Office has condemned them and is advising anyone who has received one to call police. The FBI is also aware of the messages and is investigating.
