Amazon has 12,000 season job openings in Georgia as it gears up for the holidays – and 1,000 of them are in Jefferson. Also included are 8,000 jobs in Atlanta and 2,000 in Savannah.
The company also plans a wage increase for its hourly workers – another $1.50 an hour, bringing its base wage to more than $22 an hour.
Amazon expects those seasonal job openings to fill up quickly.
