Once Christmas is over and done with and New Year’s Eve, as well, some folks will be heading to Laker Lanier for a leap into its cold waters. The Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club is gearing up for its annual Polar Bear Plunge, a fundraiser for the club, New Year’s Day. You can register in advance or on site the day of the event at the Olympic rowing venue.
