HCSO NARRATIVE:
Hall County sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen moving van and arrested a Lawrenceville woman Monday morning.
At approximately 9:30, deputies located the stolen vehicle parked behind the RaceTrac a gas station at McEver and Browns Bridge roads. The 2025 GMC Savana U-Haul was the subject of a theft report in Gwinnett County.
As deputies watched the van, its reverse lights came on, and it began backing up. With the assistance of the Gainesville Police Department, deputies moved toward the vehicle in a marked patrol car with its emergency lights and sirens on. The driver and sole occupant, Brandy Michelle Edwards, 36, of Lawrenceville, followed law enforcement commands and was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies searched her and found approximately 0.9 grams of meth and a glass smoking device in her pockets. They arrested Edwards on felony charges of theft by receiving and possession of methamphetamine, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug-related objects. Additionally, Edwards had an outstanding warrant from Oconee County.”
