A Code Orange air quality alert has been issued for today for parts of north and central Georgia, including Hall County. The state Environmental Protection Division (EPD) warns that ozone levels could reach unhealthy ranges for sensitive groups.
Under Code Orange conditions, children, people with heart or lung disease, and those sensitive to ozone are advised to limit outdoor activity, especially during the late afternoon and evening when concentrations are highest.
