Abit Massey scholarship benefiting Hall students established at UGA

University of Georgia (UGA) College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) students hailing from Hall County will soon be eligible for scholarship support thanks to the generosity of Gainesville natives Doug and Kay Ivester.

A $200,000 endowment to fund the newly established Abit Massey/Ivester Foundation Scholarship Fund will support CAES students who either graduated from a high school located in Gainesville or Hall County or who are Hall County residents.

The scholarship is named in honor of Massey, a legend in the poultry industry in Georgia, who is President-Emeritus of the Georgia Poultry Federation and a long-time supporter of UGA.
