Jesse Ray-Estuardo Fernandez, 28, of Duluth remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond in connection to a domestic assault that occurred on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to a residence in the 4400 block of Nohl Crest Drive just after 7:30 a.m. Saturday to investigate a delayed report of the assault. Deputies found the victim, a 45-year-old man, suffering from two stab wounds to his shoulder. The victim also had swelling and bruising to his right eye.

The investigation determined the victim had been sleeping around 2:30 a.m. when he was awakened by Fernandez kicking him. Fernandez, who had been living at the residence, also stabbed the victim with a knife during the assault. The knife was recovered at the scene. The victim did not immediately report the attack, but called 911 after he became worried that Fernandez might become more aggressive later in the day.

Deputies searched the residence but did not locate Fernandez.

A K9 team arrived and was able to track the suspect to nearby woods. Fernandez was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault and battery; he was also charged with possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.”
