A gathering of conservatives, Sexual Battery, Potholes of Hall Co. & More

*Congressman Rich McCormick, who district includes part of Hall County, will be among the participants in meeting in Atlanta next month called the Run2Win Conference. It’s described as a gathering of conservatives interested in building “a movement of inspired hope, bold principles, and human flourishing (and) a gathering to hear from (thoughtful) leaders, experts, and visionaries…for such a time as this.” It’ll be held April 26-27.

*A 24-year-old man was being held in the Hall County Jail in lieu of $5,700 bond Sunday morning on charges of Sexual Battery and Simple Battery. He was booked about 11:00 Saturday night. No other details on the case were immediately available.

*A news Facebook group has been formed to call attention to potholes on roads and highways around Hall County and try to get action on them. As of mid-morning Sunday, Potholes of Hall County, already had 175 members, according to a posting, its creators declaring: “Sometimes things just have to be brought to attention.”

*The new head of the Georgia National Guard (pictured) is a graduate of North Georgia College (now the University of North Georgia). Gov. Kemp recently announced Maj. Gen. Dwayne Wilson’s appointment to the post which is effective May 4.
