With cooler temperatures expected in the coming days, Gainesville officials expect to see an increase in golf cart traffic around town and are out with a reminder to motorists that the city is a golf cart-friendly community?
“Personal transportation vehicles (PTVs*) are permitted on any City street with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less that are NOT part of the state highway system,” an advisory says. “In fact, many streets in Gainesville are designated and designed for vehicular traffic at the speed of 35 mph or less, but if crossing the street in a PTV, be sure to use designated/marked golf cart crossings…”
