Charges are pending following a Thursday afternoon accident in North Hall that left a motorcyclist critically injured.
Hall County sheriff’s deputies and investigators with the agency’s Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene on Thompson Bridge Road at Southers Road around 1:55.
“The investigation…determined a Gainesville motorist, 72-year-old Doris Guidry, was in…the turning lane on southbound Thompson Bridge Road, preparing to turn left to enter the Kroger shopping center parking lot,” sheriff’s office spokeswoman B.J. Williams wrote in an email. “The motorcycle operator, 29-year-old Jordan Allen of Gainesville, was traveling northbound on Thompson Bridge Road… in the same area. Guidry turned into the path of the motorcycle, causing the crash.”
Allen was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. At last report, he remained hospitalized in critical but stable condition. Guidry was not injured.
The northbound lanes of Thompson Bridge Road were closed for just over an hour for the crash investigation.
