Additional charges were filed Wednesday and new suspects named in the case of an alleged Oakwood shoplifter who was arrested earlier this month.
Dakkota Ann Parmellee, 33, Gainesville is being held on bonds totaling $12,850 on most of the charges facing her but no bond on a drug charge.
Also charged, according to new information from the Oakwood Police Department, was 50-year-old Maria Martinez of Duluth and 17-year-old Elena Marie-Rose Parmellee. A juvenile, whose age was not listed, was also named a suspect in the police report.
Oakwood Det. Lt. Stewart Webb said in an interview Monday this was not the first time he’s dealt with the elderly Parmellee. “I have been working on multiple shoplifting incidents with this person dating back to August 13th where she had entered the Oakwood Walmart and was swapping UPC labels so that items would ring up for less than their actual value,” Oakwood Police Det.
