Four construction sites in Gainesville were hit by copper thieves over the weekend, according to Gainesville Police.
“Officer responded to the job sites…and was advised that copper wiring had been taken from four houses under construction,” spokeswoman Angie Miller wrote in an email Tuesday. “Time of theft was unknown due to crews not working over the weekend. No suspects at this time.”
The thefts were reported about mid-morning Monday.
