‘No all heros wear capes’; New parks, recreation director

*What started as a response to a house fire in Barrow County recently quickly turned into a rescue mission for some feathered friends, according to a sheriff’s office Facebook posting. Upon arrival, Deputy Sanson learned that a chicken coop and nearby shed were on fire, with several chickens trapped inside. He forced open the coop door and entered the burning structure, rescuing approximately 8–10 chickens. “Not all heroes wear capes, and sometimes the lives they save have feathers!” the posting concludes.
