A portion of Lights Ferry Road approaching McEver Road in Flowery Branch will temporarily close beginning next Monday, as construction continues on the new roundabout at the intersection.
McEver Road will remain open to traffic in both directions. However, motorists traveling it will not be able to turn south onto the closed portion of Lights Ferry Road, and motorists traveling on Lights Ferry west toward McEver will not be able to access McEver at the intersection.
The closure is expected to remain in place through January 2027 and will allow crews to safely construct a portion of the roundabout and expedite the related roadway improvements.
Motorists should anticipate changes to normal traffic patterns and allow additional travel time. Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers along designated alternate routes.
