The ongoing turmoil inside Demorest city government has now led to a lawsuit.
A former city employee has filed a lawsuit against the city, alleging sexual harassment, a hostile work environment, and defamation.
According to reports, Rachel Blasberg claims former coworkers made false statements about her and alleges Mark Musselwhite, the city’s manager, touched her inappropriately.
As Now Georgia reports, the lawsuit stems from conflicts that have fueled months of controversy and personnel turnover involving city hall and the police department. The allegations have not been proven in court, and the city has not publicly responded to the specific claims.
