Got some old tires you need to get rid of? Well, if you can, don’t do it just yet.
Hall County residents looking to dispose of old tires can do so free of charge during the next Tire Amnesty Days at the county landfill and they’re coming up in a couple of weeks: Oct. 15 and Oct. 16.
You’ll be able to dispose of up to ten tires at no cost through a grant from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
Tires must have an inside diameter of 20 inches or less and must not be attached to a wheel. Tractor-trailer, farm and other agricultural tires will not be accepted.
If you bring more than ten, you will be charged for overages, and county workers will record vehicle tags to limit the number of tires disposed of per vehicle.
