FBPD: Gwinnett man facing meth distribution charge and more

A 56-year-old Dacula man is being held without bond on drug distribution and other charges following his arrest Wednesday by Flowery Branch Police during traffic stop.

Spokesman Christopher Compton says Terry Jackson Kimbrel was stopped by police because of “equipment violations” involving his car and that the officers discovered suspected narcotics after he agreed to let them search the vehicle.

Lt. Compton said Kimbrel had already admitted he did not have a driver’s license. The search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately two grams of suspected cocaine, Compton added.

Kimbrel was taken into custody and charged with:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Driving While Unlicensed
  • Windshield/Front Window Tint Violation
  • Brake Light Requirements Violation
  • Driving Within a Gore or Median Area
