The Hall County Commission (HCC) Tuesday night rejected plans for a cell tower in a residential area but in a separate matter gave a thumbs-up to plans for a mixed-use development. In both cases, the vote was 4-0.
The cell tower was planned for the 2300 block of Pine Circle Drive and had been tabled by the board two weeks ago.
The mixed-use commercial development, totaling 25,000 square feet, is set to go up in the 2700 block of Baker Road.
Also approved by the commission was the repaving of sections of eight county roads at a cost of $3.5 million.
