Friends, family, and co-workers gathered in a Houston, Texas, church Saturday to say farewell to a Gainesville native missing and presumed dead in the northeast Georgia mountains for almost a year. “While we may not know where he lies, we know exactly with full and complete confidence where he is,” his daughter Julia Hosch said at the service. Hosch, a Texas attorney, disappeared last November after visiting friends and relatives in Gainesville. He had stopped in Union County to hike a favorite trail while on his way back to Texas.
*Monday’s Hall County Commission (HCC) work session has been cancelled as has the board’s Thursday voting meeting. Instead, the commission will hold a voting meeting Tuesday at 6:00 at the government center.
