Matt Popovich has been named General Manager of the new 99-room Residence Inn Gainesville, which is scheduled to open early next year, according to hotel-online.com. Popovich most recently served as Assistant GM of the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Gainesville.
Owned by Capstone Property Group, LLC, the Residence Inn will be the company’s second hotel development in Gainesville, joining the Courtyard property. McKibbon Hospitality of Gainesville, which also manages Courtyard, has been selected as the hotel operator.
The Residence Inn will be located on White Sulphur Road.
