The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Gainesville is an even $4.00, an increase of eleven cents from where it was this time last week. That’s according to AAA, who says the state average increased 12 cents and is $4.01. A year ago, it was $2.89.
And the national average? Thirteen cents more to $4.31.
These figures are the result of a continuing increase in crude oil prices, AAA says, noting that the price of a barrel is in the $100 range for the first time since July as the Iran War drags on.
