A car struck a building Flowery Branch Thursday leaving one person injured.
Flowery Branch Police said Friday the accident occurred when an elderly woman hit the accelerator on her car instead of the brake while pulling into a parking space. It happened about 2:30 at the El Sombrero on Spout Springs Road.
Lt. Christopher Compton said one employee of the restaurant complained of minor injuries and was
taken to the hospital for further evaluation. The car’s 86-year-old driver was not
injured.
