An 85-year-old Forsyth County man has been charged with murder in the death of his 81-year-old wife, which was reported early Sunday evening at a Collins Point Road residence.
“Upon arrival, deputies found an adult female suffering from multiple injuries and immediately began
providing emergency medical care,” Forsyth County sheriff’s spokeswoman Stacie Miller said Monday. “Despite their efforts, the victim, identified as 81-year-old Deborah Field, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.”
Thomas Elliott Field was at the house and was taken into custody by the officers.
“Detectives with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, along with the Crime Scene Unit, responded and started a criminal investigation,” Miller said.
Field has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Felony Murder and is being held at the Forsyth County Jail.
