22-acre mixed-use development plan to be heard by HCC

A mixed-use development is proposed for a 22-acre site in western Hall County, and the county commission (HCC) is scheduled to hear the plans later this month.

According to the agenda for the board’s September 22 meeting, America’s Homeplace is asking that the property, in the 2700 block of Barker Road, be rezoned from Agricultural-Residential 1 to Residential-1.

Also, on the agenda is a request to rezone nearly ten acres in the 1500 block of Candler Road near the Fulenwider Road intersection from Agricultural-Residential 1 to Light Industrial. The applicant, Matthew Pridmore, plans an outdoor storage facility on the site.
