Wednesday round-up: Braves; College football; Pro football; Atlanta United

The Braves’ northeast road trip is off to a rocky start. Atlanta fell 9-5 to the Nationals in Washington, DC last night. It was another rough outing for AJ Smith-Shawver, who gave up five-runs in four-innings. The Braves will play the Nationals again this afternoon before a weekend series in Philadelphia.  
 
College football resumes tomorrow with almost a dozen games on the Week One FBS schedule. Georgia Tech hosts Colorado as part of the slate. The Georgia Bulldogs play the Tennessee State Tigers this Saturday. In-state teams Kennesaw State and West Georgia are playing tomorrow night in Kennesaw.  
 
The start of the NFL season is fast approaching. The Seahawks raise their championship banner against the Patriots next Wednesday. The Falcons visit the Steelers next Sunday – kick off time 1 pm.  
 
Atlanta United is on the road to the Sunshine State to take on Inter Miami on Saturday
