A traffic stop by Flowery Branch police Friday led to the arrest of an 18‑year‑old Buford resident for drug distribution, the police department said in a news release Monday.
Officers say after stopping Anthony Julian Kauker, they smelled marijuana coming from his vehicle and then found bags of the drug in his car when they searched it.
They added that Kauker admitted to having marijuana inside before it was searched. A search of the vehicle turned up multiple plastic baggies containing marijuana along with drug‑related objects commonly used in preparation and consumption, the officers’ report says.
Kauker was taken into custody and charged wit:
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession and use of drug‑related objects
- Failure to stop at a stop sign
- Improper exhaust
He was taken to the Hall County Jail and was freed on bond Sunday afternoon.
