Alleged shoplifter targeting Target stores nationwide arrested in S. Hall


Flowery Branch police recently arrested a man wanted by Gainesville Police and in connection with a nationwide string of shoplifting incidents involving Target stores.

Officers made the arrested after being alerted that the suspect was in the area of the Target on Spout Springs Road. Police responded and located him inside the store.

When officers approached, the suspect, identified as Kevin Donte Wilson of Detroit, he ran from them on foot, Flowery Branch, Flowery Branch police spokesman Christopher Compton, but was captured a short time later a short distance from the store.

Gainesville police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Wilson was wanted by that agency for stealing four iPads from the Target store on Shallowford Road.

Wilson remains under investigation in connection with shoplifting cases reported across the country.
