That three-vehicle accident on Candler Road Friday resulted in charges against two of the drivers and no serious injuries.
Hall County sherif’s deputies arrived to find a work truck and a small car stopped in the westbound lanes, while a box truck had come to rest on nearby railroad tracks, the sheriff’s office said Monday.
Investigators said the driver of the small car was waiting in a turn lane when the work truck traveled through the intersection. The box truck, traveling south on Roy Parks Road, failed to yield and struck the work truck, pushing it into the small car.
Emergency personnel evaluated all drivers and passengers. A passenger in the box truck was taken to the hospital for assessment, while the others were not injured.
Deputies cited the driver of the box truck for failure to yield, and state commercial vehicle enforcement officers issued additional citations.
