A car at Primrose School in Cumming was recently stolen after a woman left it running while she took her child inside and modern technology helped authorities recover it.
Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies said they were able to track the vehicle using AirPods she had left inside it and video from a car parked nearby.
The vehicle was later found near a Cumming subdivision, and deputies spotted the suspect, later identified as Donald Murray, not far away. Deputies said he was hitchhiking and that he told them someone told him he could “borrow” the vehicle which he planned to drive to Gainesville. But investigators said they could find no evidence that anyone had told him that.
