Kroger Tuesday formally announced plans to open its new Oakwood Marketplace on Mundy Mill Road Friday.
The store represents a $49 million project and spans more than 123,000 square feet. It brings more than 300 jobs to the area and includes a wide range of departments and services, from floral, bakery, deli, meat and produce to a pharmacy with a drive‑thru. Shoppers will also find a Starbucks, Murray’s Cheese, a culinary kiosk, a fuel center, grocery pickup and kitchen supplies.
Located between McEver Road and Old Oakwood Road, it is just a few miles north of a Kroger on the same road with a Flowery Branch address.
And Friday’s grand opening comes just a couple of weeks after Kroger host a grand opening of the store in New Holland which had undergone a major renovation.
