The state’s Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) is seeking nominations for a fifth Northeastern Judicial Circuit Superior Court judgeship which was created by the state legislature earlier this year. The circuit is made up of Hall and Dawson counties
“Nominations must be received by the Commission no later than August 27, 2026,” the announcement says. And should be submitted either by email to Vincent Russo, co-Chair of the Commission, at [email protected] or by letter addressed to: Judicial Nominating Commission, c/o Vincent Russo, 500 14th Street, N.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30318.
“Nominations should include a current email address for anyone you nominate so the Commission can contact your nominee,” the announcement continues.
Also, the deadline for nominees to submit an application is September 10. They should be submitted in the same manner as outlined above.
Applications may be submitted to the Commission by email at [email protected] or by mail addressed to: Judicial Nominating Commission, c/o Vincent Russo, 500 14th Street, N.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30318. In addition, applicants should download the application package from the Commission’s website at jnc.georgia.gov/application. Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the date, time, and location of their interview.
The Commission will select and recommend to the Governor a short list from those applicants interviewed and found to be “qualified” or “well qualified” for this position.
