The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office and the Dillard Police Department conducted a joint operation Friday to locate and apprehend Jordan Bradley Roberts, a fugitive out of Lumpkin County.
“Information was obtained during the investigation indicating Roberts was possibly in the Dillard area,” Rabun Sheriff Mark Gerrells said. “Due to the nature of the outstanding charges and information indicating Roberts could be armed, deputies and officers established a significant law enforcement presence in the area to ensure he could be taken into custody as safely as possible.”
Gerrells added that Roberts was located and taken into custody after a brief standoff with law enforcement.
