You’ve no doubt heard or read stories about firefighters rescuing cats from trees. But what about a storm drain? We’ll that’s exactly what one Hall County fireman/EMT did Monday night.
“Station 17 headed out to a call Monday night to retrieve a kitten from a storm drain,” starts a social media posting by the department. “Firefighter Matt Martens was able to remove the manhole cover and enter the drain to retrieve the kitten from a tunnel beneath the ground. Not your typical call, but we’re always here to serve!”
No word on whether the feline will end up as the mascot for the department or one of its station or go home with Martens.
