AAA is offering a new way to enroll in TSA PreCheck by hosting an enrollment event for four days next week at its Johns Creek branch in Suwanee.
The program allows travelers to complete the application process close to home rather than making a trip to the airport. The enrollment fee is $76.75 and includes a five‑year membership for approved applicants.
AAA spokeswoman Montrae Waiters said the goal is to make the process easier and more accessible for people. TSA PreCheck members receive expedited screening at more than 200 airports and typically do not need to remove shoes, belts, light jackets, laptops or compliant liquids.
Applicants must complete an online application and schedule an appointment. The in‑person portion takes less than 10 minutes and includes fingerprinting and a photograph for a background check. Valid identification and proof of citizenship are required. Most applicants receive their Known Traveler Number within several days.
The enrollment event will be held at 7150 McGinnis Ferry Road 9:00-noon and 1:00-5:00. The contact number is 678‑417‑0775.
