*Governor Brian Kemp is urging state agencies to limit spending to maintain financial stability. A memo outlines a spending freeze, as state reserves have decreased to an estimated eight billion dollars, down from $14 billion two years ago. In addition, Georgia may lose ten billion in Medicaid funding over the next decade due to the passage of Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.
*A large part of Gilmer County is under a boil water advisory due to problems caused by this week’s storms. Heavy rains that fell Tuesday night washed out a portion of Chatsworth Highway, which is partially closed. The flooding also damaged a water main that has since been repaired. A boil water advisory will remain in place until water samples come back safe.
*Former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and boyfriend Brian Glenn got married Tuesday in Las Vegas. The Republican served in the House from 2021 until she formally resigned from office in January after a falling out with President Trump. TMZ was first to report that Greene and Glenn were married at The Bellagio. She was later spotted at a casino table playing craps in her white wedding dress.
