8:30 A.M. UPDATE:
As of 8:00 this morning, Hall County’s Emergency Management Agency (EMA) was reporting things pretty much back to normal following last night’s stormy weather.
Director Zach Brackett said there was only one problem to report at that time: a tree across the roadway on Cagle Road at Julian Baugh Road. “Other than that, we are operating normally,” he said.
Brackett also said it appears Falcon Crest Drive, which was closed for a couple of days following a culvert washout during last Friday’s torrential rains, appears to have survived this latest round of storms.
Meanwhile, Jackson EMC, at 8:30, was reporting only a handful of outages. Those were in Hall, Madison, Gwinnett, and Clarke counties.
5:15 A.M. POSTING:
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), in an early morning reports, said there were several trees blocking roads throughout the county as a result of the strong storms that moved through the area.

That was as of 1:00 this morning and there have been no further updates. “We are certain there are more locations of downed trees and will update this list as quickly as we can,” the report said.
As of 5:00 this morning, Jackson EMC was still reporting power outages in Banks, Barrow, Gwinnett, and Jackson counties.
Rainfall in Gainesville as of midnight at the Gainesville airport totaled half-an-inch.
The outlook for today is partly to mostly sunny with a high of 92 and unlike yesterday almost all of Georgia was under a Heat Advisory, today only those areas along and south of a Columbus-to-Dublin-to-Savannah line are affected.
