97.5 Glory FM has confirmed that a pedestrian was struck by a train on the southside of Gainesville this afternoon.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office posted a traffic alert at mid-afternoon saying the area around Industrial Boulevard and Dorsey Street was closed because of a “train accident,” but did not elaborate.
It was a Norfolk Southern freight that was involved.
