White Co. EMS earns national recognition

White County EMS has received the 2026 American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline EMS Silver Achievement Award for excellence in treating stroke and ST‑elevation myocardial infarction patients.

The national award recognizes emergency medical services agencies that “consistently provide evidence‑based care for two of the most time‑sensitive medical emergencies: major heart attacks and strokes.”

White County officials said the recognition reflects the department’s focus on rapid identification and treatment, ongoing quality improvement, and coordination among dispatchers, first responders, EMS crews, emergency departments and specialty hospitals. And highlights the dedication and professionalism of the agency’s staff and their commitment to delivering high‑quality emergency medical care to residents and visitors.

“This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of every member of White County EMS,” they added. “We are honored to serve the citizens and visitors of White County and remain committed to delivering evidence-based, high-quality emergency medical care when every second matters.”
