Additional charges have been filed against the Oakwood man accused of killing his former girlfriend at a Mountain View Road convenience store recently.
According to records at the Hall County Jail Saturday morning, Antwane Sintell Thurmond is now facing charges of felony and malice murder, aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, criminal damage to property, possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He’s also being held on a Superior Court arrest order.
Thurmond was arrested Thursday at a motel in Augusta and when he was returned to Gainesville that night he had been charged with malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault under the Family
Violence Act.
