As the nationwide Cyclospora outbreak tied to Taylor Farms lettuce products imported from Mexico continues, state ag officials are encouraging Georgia consumers to purchase locally grown lettuce. And several Gainesville area outlets are included on list of places they’ve released.
They are Lanier Produce, Flowery Branch; Robinson Heritage Farm LLC and Still Valley Farm LLC, Dawsonville; and Blue 42 Market, Dahlonega.
With officials in the state Department of Agriculture (GDA) Food Safety Division continuing to respond to this issue, GDA is clarifying that, at this time, the recall only impacts Taylor Farms and Marketside products originating from Mexico. Currently, FDA is not aware of any “Product of the USA” Taylor Farms or Marketside products in relation to the current recall.
