State Route (SR) 15 Alternate bridge over the North Oconee River in Jackson County will be closed this weekend to allow crews to perform what Georgia DOT says is “critical” bridge maintenance. The bridge will be close from 7:00 Friday night through 5:00 Monday morning, weather permitting.
*Gainesville’s Chestnut Street will be closed all next week, Monday-Friday, 9:00-4:00 each day, for water main improvements. City officials announced earlier this week that it would be closed yesterday and today only but revised those plans this afternoon.
