The Georgia Lottery raised $1.54 in fiscal year 2026, bringing the total transferred to the State Treasury’s Lottery for Education Account since its inception in 1993 to more than $31.3 billion.
“Fiscal year 2026 was an exceptionally strong year, and we are grateful to Governor Kemp, the legislature, our board of directors and advisory boards, as well as our lottery retailers, vendors, partners, employees and players,” Georgia Lottery President and CEO Gretchen Corbin said.
Adding to the excitement for Corbin and others, the lottery celebrated its largest prize winner in history with a $983 million Mega Millions jackpot won in Newnan in November and claimed in January.
